Monday Morning 🌄

Monday… the day everyone dislikes a little, because school starts again after the short Sunday break.

As usual, Kavya’s mother was shouting from the kitchen,

“Jaldi uth jaa, Kaavuu! Beta, warna late ho jayegi. Phir bus bhi chali jayegi!”

Half asleep, Kavya muttered from her bed,

“Koi baat nahi Mumma… Papa drop kar denge school.”

Hearing this, her mother walked straight into her bedroom and said in a strict tone,

“Abhi tak nahi uthi na Kavya, toh dekhna! Subah-subah pitayi ho jayegi tumhari.”

Seeing her mother’s anger, Kavya quickly sat up on the bed, rubbing her eyes.

“Okay Mumma, uth gayi hoon! Bas subah-subah meri pitayi mat kariyega.”

Soon she rushed to get ready, finished her breakfast quickly, and left for school.

When Kavya was walking toward her classroom, she suddenly heard someone calling from behind.

“Kavyaaa!”

It was Maira.

Kavya stopped and turned around. After meeting Meher, they started chatting while walking toward their class.

Kavya asked,

“Ananya aayi kya? Ya already class mein hai?”

Maira replied,

“I don’t know. Shayad aa gayi ho ya abhi aane wali ho.”

When they entered the classroom, they saw that Ananya was already sitting there.

Both Kavya and Meher waved at her and joined her desk. Soon the trio was seated together.

Just then their class teacher entered and started teaching Accounts.

While the class was going on, Kavya whispered to Ananya and Meher,

“Mujhe toh abhi se neend aa rahi hai… pata nahi baaki ke 7 periods kaise nikalungi.”

Ananya and Meher tried hard to stop laughing.

But suddenly their teacher’s voice interrupted them.

“You three! Why are you laughing? Did I say any joke?”

Before anyone could reply, the bell rang, and the period ended.

The next period was going to start in 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in another part of the school, the 12th-grade chemistry class was going on.

Suddenly the sports teacher entered and announced something important.

“Students, the Cluster Zone Sports League is coming soon. Those who want to participate should give their names to me.”

After the first four classes were over, it was finally lunch break.

The trio from 11th standard and the trio from 12th standard both came outside for lunch.

While walking in the corridor, Aarav noticed Ananya.

For a moment, he felt something strange… something new.

He wasn’t sure what that feeling was, but somehow it felt comfortable and peaceful.

Meanwhile, Aaryan noticed Aarav staring and asked,

“Where are you lost, man?”

Aarav quickly replied,

“Nothing… I was just thinking about the Cluster Zone League.”

Hearing this, Aaryan got excited and started explaining,

“Trust me, bro… it’s the most interesting time of the school year.”

Soon their lunch break ended.

Just then, the principal made an announcement:

“Students, today will be a half day. Due to some work, no more classes will be conducted.”

Hearing this, both groups of friends got excited.

They started discussing plans.

Kavya suggested,

“Guys, why don’t we all come to my house today?”

Everyone agreed.

“Okay! Today we’re going to Kavya’s house.”

And just like that, their unexpected half-day plan was made.
